Thanks to recent developments in\u00a0Ultra-WideBand (UWB)<\/strong>\u00a0positioning systems, it is now possible to create\u00a0reliable and precise systems for locating and tracking people and objects within an indoor, industrial facility.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

These systems are known as\u00a0Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS)<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n

The effectiveness and accuracy of these systems can be augmented by fusing the collected information with\u00a0other complementary technologies such as \u201cautomated image analysis\u201d.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The whole data-set is sent to an\u00a0indoor (or industrial) geographic information system (I-GIS)<\/strong>\u00a0that continuously tracks, detects and monitors the area of interest; thus, improving the position data with both historical and contextual metadata and information.<\/h3>\n

This allows up\u00a0a wide range of possible applications<\/strong>, such as:\u00a0product monitoring, geofencing, historical and real-time flow analysis, unstructured logistics, AGV automation and more.<\/strong><\/h3>\n
